Family-Centered Obstetrics, Birthing Rooms and Nursery
The arrival of a new baby is an exciting and a momentous time for the entire family. At Yavapai Regional Medical Center, we fully understand what new families want and need because we’ve been sharing in the miracle of birth for generations. YRMC’s Family Birthing Center is staffed by caring, experienced nurses and provides state-of-the-art facilities and programs for a family-centered birthing experience. We offer:
- Comfortable and up-to-date labor, delivery and recovery rooms
- A warm and secure full-service nursery
- Childbirth and breastfeeding classes
- Lactation consultants to support mothers in their desire to breastfeed
- Wee Care baby clothing packages to needy mothers and their newborns
- A friendly environment that’s welcoming to all family members
From the latest in technology and equipment to the warm touch of caring nurses, the Family Birthing Center at YRMC is committed to meeting the needs of all new moms and their families. In addition, YRMC’s Family Resource Center provides support to new families and brings comfort and understanding to the parenting experience.
Expectant Moms, please note! Our new Women's Health Pavilion & Family Birthing Center is currently under construction on our East Campus. If you are due to deliver in May 2010, please check with your physician for information on which location you will deliver in.
