LABORATORY SERVICES
Laboratory Services at YRMC West in Prescott serves our hospital’s inpatients 24 hours a day, seven days per week, and serves outpatients, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and Saturday mornings, 8 a.m. to noon.
Laboratory services include:
- pathology
- hematology
- blood bank
- microbiology
- histology
- general chemistry
- therapeutic drug monitoring
- toxicology
- urinalysis
- coagulation
- immunology
- arterial blood gases
In addition, the YRMC West lab, in conjunction with United Blood Services, offers autologous blood donation, a process that allows patients to donate up to four units of their own blood for use during a scheduled surgery.
YRMC laboratory also has a specimen collection site at Prescott Medical Imaging. ECGs are also performed at this site. Specimens are transported to YRMC laboratory for analysis and report distribution.
The Laboratory Services department at the YRMC Del E. Webb Outpatient Center in Prescott Valley is open Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some testing is performed on site and ECGs are also performed. Its services are supported by the laboratory at YRMC West and include all laboratory specialties listed above.
The Laboratory Services departments at YRMC West and the YRMC Del E. Webb Outpatient Center perform procedures with a written request by a physician.
