Medical, dental and life insurance benefits are available effective the first day of the month following date of hire. If date of hire is the first day of the month, benefits are available immediately.
Paid Time Off (PTO):
The Medical Center offers a paid time off benefit called PTO, which is available to employees with budgeted hours. This paid leave benefit includes vacation, holiday, and sick time. Unused PTO may be carried over to subsequent years up to certain maximums. PTO is accrued for each hour worked up to 80 hours per two week pay period. PTO begins accruing from the first day of employment and is available for use after completing 90 days of employment. The rate of PTO accrual increases after three years of employment and again after eight years of employment. Available accrued but unused PTO hours are paid upon separation of employment.
The medical plan provides benefits for hospitalization, major medical, home health, mental health, discounted prescription services, and preventive/wellness coverage. Employees budgeted 16 or more hours per week are eligible. The cost of employee participation varies with budgeted hours, deductible options and with the selection of individual, employee + spouse or child/children, or employee + spouse + child/children coverage. Coverage is effective the first day of the month following date of hire.
The dental plan provides benefits for preventive, basic and major services. Coverage is free for employees that are budgeted for 32 hours or more per week. Coverage is effective the first day of the month following employment.
The Medical Center provides free life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage to employees budgeted 16 or more hours per week in the amount equal to one times annual salary rounded to the next highest thousand dollars. Exempt employees are provided a benefit of two times annual salary. Employees have the option of purchasing additional voluntary life coverage for themselves and/or dependents. Coverage is effective the first day of the month following employment.
Flexible Spending Accounts:
The healthcare and dependent care spending accounts are available to employees budgeted for 16 or more hours per week. These accounts can be used to pay for dependent care and some healthcare expenses not covered by health plans on a pre-tax basis.
The Medical Center provides a Tax-Sheltered Annuity (TSA) retirement plan 403B available immediately upon employment. A 5% employer match is available after one year of employment if eligibility criteria has been met.
Short Term Disability:
A Short Term Disability benefit is provided at no cost to employees budgeted for 16 or more hours per week. This benefit pays 60% of budgeted pay for up to 90 days after a seven-day elimination period. Coverage is effective after 90 days of employment.
Long Term Disability:
A Long Term Disability benefit is provided at no cost to employees budgeted for 32 or more hours per week. This benefit pays 60% of budgeted pay after 90 days of disability if approved. Coverage is effective after 90 days of employment.
YRMC offers a wellness benefit to all employees after completion of 90 days of employment. Employees may choose one of three wellness benefits annually: A free health assessment which includes a full lab panel, a $50 Weight Watcher's reimbursement (after 10 meetings have been attended), which includes a shortened lab panel, or one free Personal Training session, which includes a shortened lab panel. After completing orientation, exercise equipment is available to all employees immediately at no charge during posted hours at our Pendleton Centers.
YRMC pays a 10% differential for second shift, 18% differential for third shift, and an additional 5% differential for weekend shifts.
All employees are eligible for a 20% discount off the posted visitor charge.
Pay checks can be deposited directly at most banks and credit unions. All employees are eligible upon employment.
Employees pursuing further enrichment through approved courses (including Bachelor programs) will be reimbursed 75% of tuition costs for a grade of "A" (50% for a "B" or "C"), based on budgeted hours per pay period. Course work must be pre-approved. Reimbursements are capped each calendar year, ($1500 full-time status; $750 part-time status). This is a non-taxable benefit. Employees must have completed one year of employment prior to the start of the any course for which reimbursement is requested.
