AFFIRMING LIFE BY PROVIDING COMPASSIONATE CARE…
Yavapai Regional Medical Center Hospice allows terminally ill people to live out their final days at home, in comfort and with dignity. Loved ones and family members are involved in giving care, and the services of YRMC Hospice are never based on the ability to pay. Hospice works with each patient’s physician to coordinate a plan of care that emphasizes quality of life. This care is provided by a team of professionals whose goal is to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and families. In addition to the patient's physician, the YRMC Hospice team includes:
The range of services provided by the nonprofit YRMC Hospice is extensive, with each patient receiving care that is consistent with his or her needs, values and concerns. Hospice nurses are available for in-home visits 24 hours a day. Social workers help secure legal and financial assistance. Counselors provide spiritual support and help individuals and family members deal with grief and loss. Volunteers sit with patients to give family members free time.
YRMC Hospice is supported by financial contributions from our community and fund-raising activities. Contributions are tax deductible, according to IRS regulations.
Reimbursement for services comes from Medicare, Arizona Long Term Care and private insurance companies. Due to the length of stays for our patients, insurance payments often do not begin to cover the cost of care provided by our Hospice team members. When there is no insurance coverage or other financial resources, hospice care is provided through the generosity of our community.
YRMC Hospice is state licensed and Medicare certified.
