GEORGE BAUMAN MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

The George Bauman Memorial Golf Tournament, held each year in June on the beautiful Hassayampa Golf Course, raises money that’s used by the YRMC Foundation to improve patient care at YRMC. In the past, these proceeds have been used for projects that include a major expansion of the hospital’s Emergency Department and adding a cardiac telemetry monitoring system. In 2002, the Foundation received more than $25,000 from the Bauman memorial tournament.

The late George Bauman was a man who spent his adult life serving others. He was one of the best friends YRMC has ever had, serving on the hospital’s Board of Trustees from 1984 until 1997. Under his leadership, YRMC evolved from a relatively small rural hospital to a progressive and successful healthcare organization.
