At Yavapai Regional Medical Center, highly trained professionals use endoscopic technology to diagnose and/or treat disorders of the esophagus, stomach, intestine, colon, and other parts of the gastro-intestinal tract. The procedures are safe, cause relatively little discomfort and are often done on an outpatient basis.
During an endoscopy, a physician experienced in the procedure will insert a lighted, flexible tube called an endoscope into a natural body opening. A camera in the endoscope allows the physician to examine the inside of the body without performing invasive surgery.
YRMC provides state-of-the-art endoscopy services in a comfortable environment. A doctor’s referral is required. For more information about the benefits of endoscopy or specific endoscopy procedures, contact your primary-care physician.
