At the James Family Heart Center at YRMC West, nationally recognized heart surgeons work with an outstanding team of nurses and technologists, as well as other top physicians, to provide world class care to heart and lung (cardiothoracic) patients.

This commitment to excellence has been the driving force behind YRMC’s Heart Center since it opened in 2007 under the leadership of nationally acclaimed cardiothoracic surgeon, Pierre Tibi, MD. In 2009, accomplished cardiothoracic surgeon Vincent Lee, MD, joined YRMC’s Heart Center team.
